Program Overview

The clinical team at Heavens Peak Behavioral Services, Inc. is dedicated to empowering our patients and their families as well as facilitating the change and growth they need to succeed in treatment and life. Our team of clinicians employs evidence based treatment models to work with adolescents and their families to help transition them from states of distress, dysfunction or pain toward strength and wellness. The goal of the program is to identify and build upon the individual’s strengths and to assist them in returning to an optimum level of productivity. Treatment modalities are based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Behavior Chain Analysis (BCA) principles. These treatment modalities are tailored to meet each participant’s needs.

The treatment team consists of
  • psychiatrists
  • registered nurses
  • qualified direct care staff
  • mental health counselors

Heavens Peak Behavioral Health Services is a stand-alone, Joint Commission Accredited, adolescent partial hospitalization, intense outpatient, and general outpatient treatment program. These different levels of care bridge the gap between inpatient psychiatric care and general outpatient services. There are many clients who don’t require a 24/7 inpatient psychiatric facility but still need 6-8 hours a day of intense therapy to help them overcome their behaviors that are preventing them from functioning in society.

Licensed professionals provide intense medication management, toxicology screens, comprehensive blood panels, and genomic testing all in an effort to fine tune each and every patient’s medication(s) in an effort to speed recovery and prevent treatment relapse. Our licensed doctors, and advance practicing registered nurse working collaboratively with our registered nurses so that we can educate the parents and their child in the importance of psychopharmacological medication compliance, side effects and desired effects.

Patients are safe in our treatment program due to the high staff to student ratio and supervision during the time they are in our care. Our Behavioral Health Direct Care Staff are highly qualified bachelor leveled staff (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science), that are pre-screened with background checks and are extensively trained to work with adolescents in an intense behavioral healthcare setting.
